Today’s Horse Racing Tips – 27th June 2020

3 minute read

Racing and Sports highlight our standout plays for Australian TAB meetings on June 27.

Feature metropolitan meetings are held across Australia on this Saturday at Rosehill, Caulfield, Belmont, Doomben & Morphettville Parks.

Rosehill: Race 7 @ 3:10pm

Another heavy track faces us on Saturday and unfortunately I don't think they are going anywhere soon. First glance the Chris Waller trained Sambro has to be a bet in the Listed Civic Stakes [1350m]. While he hasn't won in over 700 days, 749 to be exact, he sets up very well and this looks an obvious target with three weeks between runs and a trial in between. Read More

Caulfield: Race 8 @ 4:05pm

Back to Caulfield, with the rail out a mile, for a very basic looking offseason card. Belmont: Race 5 @ 4:42pm

Belmont has the Strickland Stakes this Saturday in the last of the Winter triple crown G3s. The trifecta from the Hyperion Stakes concentrate the betting but we will be going for the one furthest back in that race as Mississippi Delta tries for her first win since the Perth Cup. She made good ground in the Belmont Sprint and then battled away second up in that Hyperion. Read More

Doomben: Race 7 @ 3:22pm

A rise in distance and a strong third-up record see Scallopini well placed at Doomben on Saturday. The talented sprinter has returned in good form having rattled home to win the Listed Hinkler first up then ran on hard again to place last start, also at stakes level. Scallopini has won four of seven runs at 1350m and is rarely out of the money at Doomben. Read More

Morphettville Parks: Race 7 @ 3:10pm

With the likelihood of a soft track and not a heavy one, suggesting Celtic Blast can win again first up. This gelding has run four excellent races in those conditions including three wins and first up last prep he won on a Soft 5 over 1000m on the Parks track – does that sound familiar. Read More
