Grafton: Race 4 @ 2:35pm

There is an abundance of early acceleration in this field. EIGER (2) is a handy type who resumes after a five months break, finishing off last campaign with a sixth at Eagle Farm, beaten 8.5 lengths. Won only start here. Is a fresh up winner. This looks a soft kill. IN FIORE (4) came home strongly last time to score over 1115m at this track. Impeccable record this course, winning all three starts and rates among the leading chances. CHAZELLES (3) is a handy type who resumes after a six months break, finishing off last campaign with a fifth at Sunshine Coast, beaten 3 lengths. Fitter for two trials, placing at her most recent run. Has a very strong record fresh up scoring two times. WANDER (1) resumes today after placing at his last run at Goulburn over 1200m. Good record at this journey with two wins and three places from eleven starts. Trial winner. SUGGESTED PLAY: Eiger is a win wager.

Ballarat: Race 5 @ 2:15pm

Early speed doesn't look overly strong. Cowboy, Solitary Choice and Rogues Point are likely to be prominent early. ZOUPER STAR (8) made good ground last start when first up chasing home the promising Mystery Shot at this track. He'll strip fitter here and if he can handle this surface that form line looks superior. COMMODUS (5) didn't have the best of luck last start when favourite. He has good ability and is worth another chance her staying at 1400m. ROGUES POINT (1) did enough last start when first up to suggest he can be competitive here. His best form last preparation was over further but he should be finishing off strongly in this race. CHASE AWARD (4) ran well in stronger company last start and a repeat effort would see him go close here. COLD BEERS (10) was disappointing last start but his form prior was sound. Include. SUGGESTED PLAY: Zouper Star has the form.

Sunshine Coast: Race 7 @ 4:39pm

Expect a good tempo with Battle Plane and Charlie's World candidates to lead. FAST TRAIN (5) placed at Warwick Farm for Gerald Ryan and then switched to the Hansen yard and just missed at the Gold Coast at this trip in the CL3. His overall form reads very well and he can go one better from the handy gate and with the 3kg weight relief. BATTLE PLANE (2) made the hat-trick at this level at Toowoomba and then led again beaten 1L at Ipswich, also at the mile. He should see it right out and draws to advantage with a handy 2kg claim. BERING SEA (1) comes to peak and got close here a month ago at the mile. He has a good record at this distance and the form hoop sticks with the Vandyke galloper. BLUE COMET (4) was much better placing at Toowoomba behind Battle Plane and can make the first four getting a soft run from the rail. SELECTION: #5 Fast Train wins at best and can find it.

Dubbo: Race 7 @ 2:45pm

Good speed engaged. CALIFORNIA FOX (3) toughed it out strongly to get the job done here a fortnight ago. He's in the zone at present and really deserved that success after some consistent efforts prior. Drops in weight for this and his record at this venue is top notch. The testing material once again. THISWILLDOUS (9) is nearing a win. Beaten a narrow margin at Coffs Harbour most recently. Handles all conditions and back up to the mile he appears the obvious threat. ONENESS (2) improved into the placings last start at Wellington. It was a strong race on paper and the effort was terrific from the wide alley. Long time between drinks is a query but he is to be respected. LYGIA (10) is back a long way in distance. Place chance. SUGGESTED PLAY: California Fox to win again.

Bordertown: Race 7 @ 4:40pm

Plenty of speedsters engaged with Comiendo a likely leader. MIAMI FREEDOM (1) won comfortably from the front here at this level first-up and is back to racing further improved. Draws to ride the speed and can go on with it for the hot yard with a form 3kg apprentice going on. COMIENDO (3) won the Maiden well and then was outgraded before missing a lip at this level at Mt Gambier. He needs a good ride from the 3kg claimer pushing forward, but won't be far away. DEFORCE (2) resumed in the same race as favourite and ran out of puff. He has more up the sleeve and expect quick improvement. LICORICE BULLET (6) won that race narrowly, but has to manage the wide gate today. #1 Miami Freedom will be fitter and can go right on with it.
