Five Metropolitan TAB meetings are held across Australia this Saturday at Rosehill, Caulfield, Doomben, Belmont and Morphettville.

Rosehill: Race 6 @ 2:45pm

Rosehill has been a happy hunting ground of late and hopefully we can continue that trend on Saturday. Forever an optimist, I'm hopeful of an improving track with the rain staying away - fingers crossed. As with most Winter meetings, there are a few intriguing contests coupled with a few lowly affairs. The sixth event shapes up as a decent match race between both Travest and Dancing Gidget. Happy to swing the way of the Chris Waller trained Dancing Gidget. Read More

Caulfield: Race 7 @ 3:45pm

It's Bletchingly Stakes Day which signals the end of the season is fast approaching and even puts a little hint of spring in the air. It's just a hint of spring, no more than that, but the Bletchingly is a good contest with Streets Of Avalon and Widgee Turf well-performed additions to the Monash form which was a strong edition itself. It should be a good race, and a good betting heat, but we are looking elsewhere for our best of the day. Doomben: Race 4 @ 1:38pm

Consistent sprinter Elixir has the ratings to add another win to his honest record at Doomben on Saturday. The four-year-old has put together a string of top-three finishes including a win at Eagle Farm over this distance two back.He then stepped up in trip when a fighting and close third at Ipswich but looks suited back to 1200m having a solid record at the journey. Belmont: Race 6 @ 2:45pm

After a wet Saturday last time, we might get a slightly better surface for the HG Bolton Sprint meeting. In that sprint there are a few coming in in excellent form and some with hidden runs to be noted. One of them is Samizdat who has an eighth on his form page but in reality it was better than that. Read More

Morphetville: Race 7 @ 3:27pm

The last of the stakes races for the season and always an interesting one is the Lightning Stakes. It pits the 2yos against the 3yos in the only race of its type around the country. One with some fascinating form is Parlophone for the Price and Kent yard and they have had a great trot of late. Read More
