The Michael Clements trained Big Hearted went out a winner and creates plenty of interest fresh at Kranji on Sunday evening.
Due to contest the tenth event, the son of Hallowed Crown has not been seen since saluting on the polytrack back in January.
A winner of four of his seven starts, his only defeats have come at the hands of the Cliff Brown trained Inferno.
Boasting two second placings behind the star galloper, Big Hearted has done little wrong and has been brought along nicely by Clements.
Rated 89 by Timeform, he appears very well placed down in the weights, despite stepping up to Class 3 company.
Unbeaten in his sole attempt over 1400m, he has been prepped up with two handy trials.
Ridden by Louis-Philippe Beuzelin, he barely got out of second gear in his latest, coasting to the line to score by half a length.
He recorded fairly slick time 1:00.98 and if you haven't watched the replay, I suggest you do, they don't trial much better.
A noted backmarker, hoping he can settle a touch closer from the middle draw on Sunday, though it's not too big a concern.
When assessing Timeform weight adjusted ratings, he looks to have a bit on them and with even luck, he should prove very hard to beat.
The James Peters trained Destroyer Eclipse bumped into the talented Strong N Powerful last start and has to be respected in his return.
While yet to really fire fresh, he is more than capable and the booking of Lerner is a decent push.
Rates well on best form and appears well graded in Class 3 company.
The Mark Walker trained Beau Geste caught the eye first up when working home well to finish second and has to be respected on the quick back up.
While yet to win at 1400m, the booking of Duric is a nice good push and the wide draw isn't too great a hindrance as he naturally settles back.
Will need a back to follow coming into the straight, but if he gets his chance, he is sure to be strong late.
Of the rest the Hideyuki Takaoka trained Wind Trail appears the next in line.
A winner of three of his 18 starts, he is expected to be better over further, but usually runs well fresh and can make his presence felt.
