A drop from stakes company sees Mr Bellagio well placed to return to winning form at Eagle Farm on Saturday.

The Team Edmonds gelding has been in terrific form this campaign, working his way up to open company with three successive wins at this distance range, the latest at Gold Coast two back when romping home by more than 5 lengths.

Last start Mr Bellagio went up in grade and back in distance to the Listed Eye Liver Stakes and ran on well after settling well back to finish 1.4 lengths from the winner.

He will appreciate the distance rise and Ryan Maloney should secure him the right run from gate four.

Progressive gelding Chico Milagro looks to have found the right race earlier in the program.

Tony Gollan's four-year-old hasn't been far off the placegetters at his past couple when taking on open three-year-old company.

The drop back in class to a No Metro Win race will suit as his previous form was sound including a 5 length romp in an Ipswich maiden three back.

Jim Byrne sticks with Chico Milagro and the combination looks hard to beat.
