It is a very solid card at Belmont as we get toward the end of the winter track’s season.
There looks a good bet early on as Dom To Shoot resumes over 1200m in Race 2.
This 3yo gelding raced well as a juvenile winning twice and then after a fair run in the Karrakatta Plate, sat much further forward in the WA Sires and just missed.
While in time he might want a mile and on breeding that would be of no surprise, he will be hard to hold off. That is especially so if there is a little speed battle up the front.
Later on the card, there is a very even 1400m handicap and one who can be a show is Moschard.
This is a RTG72+ race and he comes of a harder race when making nice ground from near last.
He won a similar race to this back in May at Ascot and he'll look to get back and sweep home.
Importantly to that first up effort, this is a longer race but it was indicative that he had returned in good shape.
