Mr Rockwell Ready To Win

The Lee Freedman trained Mr Rockwell only went down narrowly last start and now appears set to peak racing third up on Saturday.

Due to contest the seventh event, Mr Rockwell hasn't done a lot of winning in his career (1/23), but has placed on a further second occasions, including six of his last nine.

While no match for Sabah Star late, he ran through the line well and should be better suited stepping up to the mile.

From the inside draw he is also expected to settle closer to the speed, having been forced to snag last start.

When assessing Timeform weight adjusted ratings he sits top off his last start and only looks to have to repeat that level of performance to be right in the finish again.

His sole career win came at this track and with even luck, he should prove hard to beat.

The Stephen Gray trained Trafalgardisappointed last start, but has since been kept fresh (49 days) and has trialled well enough in the lead up.

Still a maiden after nine starts, but has run well on occasion and much like Mr Rockwell, he looks well treated in this company.

Gets in well after the claim and looms as a major threat.

Smiling Proud comes out of the same race as Mr Rockwell last start and while finishing seventh, he was only beaten 1.5L.

He is prone to mixing his form, but is certainly capable when right and it is a key booking with Maia linking aboard for the first time.

Smiling Proud is likely to get back from the draw, but should adopt a position in the running line and present at the right time.

Of the rest the Stephen Gray trained Military Chairman appears the next in line.

An eye catcher fresh, he failed to back it up last start, but like him kept fresh (49 days) and he has drawn to receive all the favours.

He has placed in four of six attempts over this trip and cannot be taken lightly.

Good luck and happy punting.
