Adelaide heads to the summer period – and at least we are racing this weekend.
One fascinating runner that finds a race much more to her talents is Divanation.
Naturally when you are Makybe Diva's daughter and by Black Caviar's brother you get some perhaps unwarranted attention.
She has run some good races including the closing third in last year's Warrnambool Cup. But then came back that Spring and was way back when in the betting at Flemington.
The McEvoys pulled up stumps immediately and she has trialled nicely since the long break.
The key here is that they are kicking her off at a mile against a hardly stellar line up so if on her game can win as she needs all of it.
Have a feeling they will be backing her on Saturday even in an open race.
The main race is the Listed City Of Marion Stakes where Prophet's Thumb was going to be a great chance but has come out.
So the clear danger was Too Good Too Hard and she now must go on top and be a bet.
She ran a cracker behind Fiesta on Derby Day at Flemington, getting way back in the field and finding the line powerfully.
Her form before was solid too in the Black Pearl at Geelong on Cup day so you know it wasn't a once off.
Well off at the weights, she must take some beating from an in form yard.
