The last Saturday meeting before Christmas, no greater pressure as a punter.
Christmas either gets taken care of or suddenly it becomes very expensive.
We are served up 10 of the best at headquarters, with hopefully a firm track to play with.
I say hope as a large amount of rain is expected, fingers crossed they get the forecast wrong.
Was all over Accountability last weekend before he was scratched and see no reason to jump off on Saturday.
Simply gave them too much start behind Significance, in what was clearly the run of the race last start.
Steps up in grade, but appears well treated at the weights and leading rider James McDonald sticks aboard.
Should get the tempo to suit with both Gone Bye and Vadiyann pressing forward and suspect he is a lot more positive on Saturday.
Has won three of his last five and is certainly a galloper trending the right way.
Lines up against a few handy rivals, but suspect he has them covered.
The James Cummings trained Hilo is possibly a slight query at 1400m, but the market certainly looks to have overplayed that early.
From six starts at 1400m, he has only won once, but when you delve into it deeper, he has run a career peak at the trip when a narrow second behind Alabama Express.
His third placing behind Indy Car at the course and distance earlier in the year also makes for good reading.
Taking a line through Edison, it's also very easy to mount a case that he should be clear favourite.
Hilo beat Edison home two back ($3 Vs $7) for which he now meets Edison 2kg better off.
Edison then beat Hilo home (0.8L) at their next start ($6 Vs $13) for which Hilo now meets him 3kg better off.
Edison has since won, though I struggle to see how he can be marked ahead of Hilo on Saturday.
Since kept fresh (35 days), the blinkers come off and he has trialled well in the lead up.
King sticks aboard and from the soft draw he should get every chance.
