The Miss Andretti Stakes is the main race on a nine race program at Ascot.
That is a Listed sprint with many of the usual sprinting suspects that run this time of year.
While that is the case, essentially the new kid on the block is the 4yo Indian Pacific who graduated to run well in the sprints over the Summer carnival.
The son of Zoustar won the Crawford Stakes then was run down late in the Colonel Reeves on a heavy track in bad conditions. The Winterbottom was likely a bridge too far right now.
Off a little freshen he scored in the Summer Scorcher, leading all the way when a short elect.
He'll roll forward here and if he can just get one or two cheaper sectionals, he must be tough to get by.
Earlier in the 3yo Plate, the regular attendees in the winner's stall can stand there again as Magical Dream has her first run since the carnival.
She contested races like the Belgravia, Burgess Queen and Champion Fillies and was good in them all, winning the first one.
The filly is unbeaten first up so off two months away, he seems well set up for this.
She does get back in the field but if there is enough speed, it isn't a huge field so the barrier will help too.
