The two big races are interesting ones but as is often the case, a sales race can have a tight primary elect.

In the 2yo Classic, while two of the favs are tied at the hip (Sniparoochy & Ex Sport Man), we might go for the other form in Michelada who won nicely at Ascot.

Off that she does appear like the 1200m is a real positive and if William Pike can weave some magic early from the draw, she could be the strongest late.

She travelled well in the blinkers and at the odds, we'll play that way.

In the 3yo Trophy, again there are not too many live hopes.

While he hasn't won for a while, surely Gemma's Son deserves to win a good prizemoney race.

The colt by Snippetson has run in all the good races of the carnival when just in behind horses the likes of Magical Dream, Kay Cee, Watch Me Dance and then took on the G1 Kingston Town when hardly terrible into 7th.

Off a let up he was third coming from back over an unsuitable 1000m and while this is also maybe a tad short, the barrier helps that.

He should be able to land near the back of the speed and let his class take him a long way.
