The Birthday Cup is the first of the Adelaide Cup lead ups at Morphettville this weekend.
First, we head to the last, where Pindaric hopes to maintain his unbeaten record.
He came from near last on debut but since then has led much of the way in two 1200m events.
While drawn the widest here, his speed will be an asset and being out there is sometimes a good spot to be for a genuine leader. Plus it is a dog leg start so the first half the race is run in a straight line.
The claim means he's actually not that far away from the bottom weights and the opposition is hardly filled with riveting form lines.
Happy to back him on the nose again.
Back to that Birthday Cup and one who is just into the each way range is worth a play now that he has found good form again.
Sikorsky took on better horses through the Spring over shorter but last start he got out to 2000m and was brave at Flemington.
Right there all the way he stretched a good up and comer giving it 5kg and now he is the one back onto the limit.
He should be able to find the front or nearby again and wind it up when needed knowing a few of these will have two miles more on their minds.
