Progressive gelding Cloak can improve off a good resuming effort and post a win at Doomben on Saturday.
The five-year-old made a strong return when finding the line well to place behind good mare Vanna Girl in open company and comes back to a benchmark 90.
He has won two of three previous second up attempts so should be improved by that outing and steps up to a distance where he has won twice before.
Cloak was in fine form last campaign putting four successive wins together and jockey Ryan Maloney goes back on having won three of four rides on him so he ticks plenty of boxes.
The last of the day is an open affair but there is each way value to be found with Royal Hale.
He is racing well this campaign, winning first up over 1200m at Eagle Farm then settling back but hitting the line well in the straight to finish fourth and beaten 0.9 lengths over the same trip here last time.
That effort suggested he is looking for this journey now and he is another of a good book of rides for Maloney.
