The black type action continues on with the Sheila Gwynne Classic.
But with the Perth carnival starting to slow down, a few different ones are emerging.
Tycoon Storm is having a very happy time of it, loving the 1400m around here. She loves to settle just off the pace and in the small field, will never be far away.
She was around the mark in the Spring in Listed races but since returning has beaten these types.
Not sure the main danger Watch Me Dance is going as well as she was in the Spring when winning bigger races and so we suggest the Lindsey Smith mare can continue the winning ways.
Another feature, as we near Anzac Day, is the Diggers Cup and some past G1 winners head out atop the weights.
But we are going to stay with the rather popular William Pike as he rides Marocchino chasing three in a row together.
He won here two back and then went forward and dominated the Albany Cup three weeks ago.
So like the fact he can take up a position because he can then either take a sit if there is a battle for the front and that can occur as they jostle for spots from this start.
Or he can roll forward and be in a controlling position. Pike has options there.
Some of these stayers do forget to win and he doesn't at present.
