The Kim Waugh trained Great News looked to have every chance in the Tibbie Stakes last start but her run was much better than it appeared and she is worth sticking with.

A huge run fresh over 1100m she was very game second up in the Mona Lisa before finishing third last start.

In a race which proved a non-event, the first six at the turn finished virtually in order across the line.

Digging deeper into the sectionals Great News went as well as she did first up, just the race shape went against her.

Love her back to 1200m (unbeaten - 3/3) and she looks to get the perfect run on the map for Berry.

At the weights she rates clear off her first up performance and should be right at her top fourth up.

If able to run up to her peak she looks very hard to beat and the 4-1 is more than acceptable.

In the final event happy to back another runner back in trip – the Richard and Michael Freedman trained On The Lead.

An eye catcher fresh behind Andermatt, he was no match late for Belluci Babe last start but looks very well placed back to 1000m on Saturday.

Gelded at the start of this preparation he looks to be building nicely and both career wins have come at this trip.

McDonald sticks aboard and from the inside draw he looks to get the perfect trail just off the speed.

When assessing Timeform weight adjusted ratings he holds a clear edge on best form and looks to get every chance to produce a peak on the weekend.

Can't say there is anything scary engaged and if right he should be winning.

We have him marked the 5/4 favourite so happy to take bet up at his current quote of around 5/2.
