The depths of Winter still see us with the last black type race of the season being held at Morphettville.

That is the Lightning Stakes and it is the only race of its kind in the country being a Listed race for two and three year olds.

There is some value on an each way basis in the form of Dirty Thoughts who had good form last time in.

The So You Think filly had multiple wins before placing in the Atlantic Jewel Stakes and then the Champagne Stakes at Moonee Valley.

Clearly she is one of the sprinting So You Thinks because she resumed with a close run at Flemington over the 1000m.

Naturally this is a sharp race up front but the wet track will make it somewhat of a test and she's already handled that type of surface.

Earlier in the day, Denero appears the best of the program also bringing over good Victorian form lines.

While he hasn't won for a while he's raced good horses, the most recent of which was over the mile at Flemington when working to the line strongly.

Another furlong cannot hurt on breeding alone and this is hardly a strong event in total.

Look for him to get back and sweep into the race on a type of track that he has thrived on. We should do better than the current market.
