It looks like another wet weekend in Perth so that damp period of racing will continue.
The Ngawyni Stakes is a rich race on the card and is going to be very competitive with some good ones returning from spells and others hard fit.
There might be some value in the shape of That's Funny Az in that race. While he is resuming from a break and is yet to win doing that, he has run well early in preps without winning.
He put some good wins together earlier in the year, is bred to handle wet going and has won on it before.
Suspect he will roll forward again and that could well be a strong place to be in a race like this one with a few staying/middle distance types engaged.
The horse that we are most keen on is one we liked two weeks ago and he got the job done for us then.
Giant Leap loves the softer tracks and he showed that over 1400m first up.
He sat back and zoomed home under William Pike but now he draws inside so it will take a good ride from the great rider.
The son of Iffraaj is also back 100m which may explain why he isn't shorter in the market.
He is clearly improving with age and still looks well placed in a race of this standard.
