Group racing returns in a big way with the running of the Spring Stakes at Morphettville.
This is a really high quality edition with two previous winners engaged and both come off an excellent 12 months of racing.
We have to go for one of them and over the 1200m, this race sets up perfectly for Behemoth to go back to back.
His Spring form was so good he ended up slotted into The Everest and while that didn't turn out for the best, he was still very brave in the Autumn placing in the All-Star Mile.
Happy to ignore The Goodwood run and he's since spelled and trialled like he's well tuned up here.
He should be able to camp on the leaders and be in front of the dangers, especially given it's WFA so he gives them no weight.
Expecting him to be as strong as he was last year before heading East.
Given we will have another heavy track this week, we can bet with confidence that Beaudacity will love it in the last race.
This now 3yo took on some fair 2yos in his time and wasn't up to it but just before turning this age, he went to Cranbourne for a maiden and led all the way, bolting in.
You can't see conditions being all that much different this time around and dare say handling the track is more important than the extra 100m.
In the ground, he seems a safe each way play.
