Sun Ops Primed For Fresh Success

3 minute read

The Desmond Koh trained Sun Ops appears well placed to make a wining return when set to contest the tenth event at Kranji on Sunday.

Only a recent addition to the sprinting ranks, Sun Ops has won two of his three starts under Koh's care and looks airborne at the trials.

Fresh off a 112 day break he has trialled twice in the lead up and should be primed for the 1000m event.

At his first trial he went toe to toe with the flying Celavi before winning his second by four lengths.

On both occasions he broke the minute mark and while drawn out he has the speed to get across and find the front.

Although a winner over 1100m last time in he looks better suited at 1000m and simply should be too speedy for his rivals.

When assessing Timeform weight adjusted ratings he looks well placed and if up to his peak he looks very hard to beat.

The Jason Lim trained Songgong Hera shapes as the main danger having won well on the turf track last start over 1200m.

Since kept fresh (28 days) he has won over this trip previously and a key booking with Beasley aboard.

Rises considerably at the weights but still looks fairly well treated and if able to hold his form he shouldn't be far away.

The Michael Clements trained On Line is an unknown over this trip though he should be strong through the line.

On best form he is more than capable just hoping he doesn't get run off his feet early.

On Line has placed in two of three attempts on the polytrack and has placed in six of his last 10 starts.

He no doubt will be better over further but still cannot be underestimated.

Of the rest the Stephen Gray trained Hugo appears the next in line.

Good luck and happy punting.
