Racing and Sports highlight our standout plays at Australian TAB meetings for October 11.
Australian thoroughbred Tab meetings are today held at Echuca, Tamworth and Murwillumbah.
ECHUCA: RACE 3 @ 1:30 PM
Lots of these close to a win. THE AMAZONIAN (10) performed well last start when third at Cranbourne over 1400m in soft going making it two minors from as many start this time in. The blinkers go on today and looks capable of going close. MY BRILLIANT CHOIX (5) is going along well with three placings from six starts this time in. Appeals as the main threat. DJOUNIE (4) ran a 2.25 lengths sixth at Kilmore last start. Looks one of the genuine hopes in the race. BELLA VINCI DOVE (2) placed second by 0.8 lengths last start at Swan Hill and should be prominent. Can give a sight at odds. DE LA FAYETTE (9) should be ready to improve out to this distance third up.
SELECTIONS: Keen on The Amazonian.

TAMWORTH: RACE 4 @ 3:50 PM
MISS POWERBELLE (7) resumes seeking the hat-trick and the lead up trials have been sharp. Goes fresh and gets weight relief in this grade. Promising and the one they have to beat. MASLOW (5) resumes for the new barn and is good enough. Has won twice fresh and three-back won a Sunshine Coast Open. Should go close. LORD TONY (2) is the other winning hope. Brings strong form to resumption and will use the rail. Goes fresh and 3x winning rider Weir sticks. They're better than the rest. SELECTIONS: Backing Miss Powerbelle.
MURWILLUMBAH: RACE 6 @ 4:45 PM
COURAGEOUS (4) is another strong winning hope for the Matt Dunn stable. Led and won the CL1 here by 3.8L and then missed a lip after. Was just in the market after and forgetting that effort. Gets in light with the 3kg claim and can bounce back. HOROWITZ (5) led and faded first up off a big trial win. Had been away for 227 days and will be much better for it. Has plenty of ability and sharp improvement is anticipated. BUMRAH (3) resumes and put three wins together near the back of the previous campaign. He's trialled at the Gold Coast and is capable of making the finish. IN AWE OF ME (8) has been racing at the NSW provincials and gets to peak fitness. Keep safe with McGuren booked.
SELECTIONS: Backing Courageous to win.
