Progressive sprinter Shamaton rates to add another win to his growing record when he lines up at Doomben on Saturday.

Tony Gollan's lightly-raced gelding placed fresh then looked good last start when he ran on and drew away late to score by one length at Eagle Farm over 1000m.

Shamaton is building a good record with the promise of more to come and will be peaking third up.

The last-start effort produced good ratings that rank him clear of Saturday's rivals and with Ryan Maloney sticking he should give the four-year-old the ideal trip from the inside stall.

Maloney looks a big chance for a race-to-race double with At Witz End in the following event.

The gelding scored three wins in a row over this distance, two of them at this track, then got close to good galloper Ballistic Boy in this grade last start.

At Witz End has eight weeks off since but has trialled and Maloney is two from two on him.
