Morphettville Parks Races on 22nd April 2023

The Gawler training partnership of Darren Magro and Aimee Bush brought up their first winner together when Eaglelou took out the 1550 metre opening event at Morphettville on Saturday.


Guided to victory by Justin Potter Eaglelou came from last and was locked in a sterling finish with the second placegetter Jenkins .

The father and daughter training partnership of Richard and Chantelle Jolly returned to the winner's list when their charge Klabel won the 1250 metre second race.

Ridden by Jake Toeroek and coming off a last start seventh Klabel led all the way.

Coming out of the Flemington stable of Ben and JD Hayes Azaly was too good for his rivals when he took out the 1950 metre third race.

Having the services of Ben Melham Azaly raced in a forward position throughout the event.

The Hayes brothers Ben and JD landed the second leg of a race to race double when Conqueror won the 1550 metre fourth race.

Giving hoop Ben Melham  the second leg of a race to race double Conqueror came from last with a well-timed run late in the event.

Murray Bridge trainer Stuart Padman was well pleased with the win of Falaise in the 1400 metre fifth race.

Well ridden by apprentice Sheriden Tomlinson, Falaise came from a worse than midfield position to bring up his second win from four starts.

The training double of Ben and JD Hayes landed their third winner for the day when Caste took out the listed H C Nitschke Stakes which was run over 1400 metres.

Giving Jake Toeroek his second winner for the day Caste came from a midfield position to bring up successive wins.

The training pair of Gordon Richards and Damien Moyle maintained a winning strike rate when My Khalifa won the listed City of Adelaide Handicap of 1400 metres.

Ridden by stable apprentice Lachlan Neindorf My Khalifa came from the back half of the field with a strong run over the concluding stages.

Racing for the first time after a spell I'mlovin'ya was a good winner fo the 1100 metre listed Redelva Stakes which was run on the main Morphettville track.

Prepared at Cranbourne by Mick Price and Michael Kent Jnr and haviing the services of Zac Spain I'mlovin'ya raced one off the pace before winning convincingly.

Ben Melham landed his third winner for the day when Kallos took out the Group 3 R N Irwin Stakes which was run over 1100 metres.

Coming out of the Godolphin stable of Jamie Cummings and winning his third race in succession after being gelded Kallos came from a better than midfield position.

Bendigo trainer Jess Gleeson had her second Adelaide win when her charge  Prairie Fire brought up back to back wins in the 1000 metre final event.

Ridden by apprentice Ellis Wong at his last metropolitan event prior to his return to Hong Kong Prairie Fire  raced in a forward position throughout the event.
