In-form jockey Ryan Hurdle continued his good run when he rode Knightstown to a win in the 1000 metre opening event on the Parks track at Morphettville on Saturday.

Coming out of the Gordon Richards and Damian Moyle stable and resuming after a spell Knightstown  came from the rear of the field with a strong run over the concluding stages.

Apprentice Ben Price landed his first Morphettville winner when he rode Moscow Red  to victory in the 1400 metre second race.

Prepared by Henry Dyer at Ballarat, Moscow Red  came from a midfield position to win in a tight finish.

Apprentice Ben Price will remember his second day of city riding when he brought up a running double when Exalted Ambition took out the 2250 metre third race.

Bringing up successive wins the Grant Young prepared Exalted Ambition was in the first two throughout the event.

Jockey Jeff Maund landed his third winner for the week when Magnetic Edge won the 1400 metre fourth race.

Bringing up their fifth win since forming a training partnership the John Hickmott and Carrina Riggs prepared Magnetic Edge was well placed.

Coming off a last start fifth at Balaklava magic Phantom gave jockey Jason holder another win in the 1000 metre fifth race.

Being under the care of Jon O'Connor, Magic Phantom came from third with a strong run over the concluding stages.

The training partnership of Gary and Nicole Searle and their daughter Brianna Callahan brought up their first city winner when Tommy blue took out the 1250 metre sixth race.

Having the services of apprentice Gary Lo the former WA galloper Tommy Blue was well placed throughout.

Trainer Will Clarken landed the second leg of a two-state double when Second Slip took out the listed 1400 metre Leon Macdonald Stakes.

A last start Caulfield winner the Todd Pannell guided Second Slip and may now contest the 1600 metre listed Balaklava Cup next month.

Strathalbyn based trainer Bruce Potter was well pleased with the win of Lomax in the 1550 metre eighth race.

Coming off a last start fourth at Murray Bridge the Justin Potter ridden Lomax came from well back with a strong run in the straight to win.

Three kg claiming apprentice Gary Lo rode his second winner for the afternoon when Free of Debt took out the 1000 metre final event.

Being under the care of Chris Bieg at Morphettville was not very far off the lead for the journey of the race.
