Morphettville Races Review on 24th July 2021

3 minute read

Coming off a first start third at Gawler Keep Reading opened his winning account when he took out the 1100 metre opening race at Morphettville on Saturday.

Having the services of Jake Toeroek the Richard and Chantelle Jolly prepared Keep Reading  came from a midfield position to unleash a strong run in the straight to win.

Making a sterling battle up the straight with the second placegetter Flying Pierro, Jaguary came out the better when he won the 1600 metre second race.

Ridden by Paul Gatt the Travis Doudle prepared Jaguary  came from well back to score.

Jockey Paul Gatt brought up the second leg of a running double when Mahis Angel scored a win in the 2500 metre third race.

Giving trainer Travis Doudle his second winner in two races Mahis Angel  came from a worse than midfield position and gradually improved to win convincingly.

Cranbourne trainer Daryl Bedggood pulled the right rein by bringing Sir Kalahad to Morphettville when he won the 1200 metre fourth race.

Ridden to victory by Jason Holder, Sir Kalahad led all the way.

The meeting was postponed after race four due to poor visibility.
