Morphettville Parks Races Review - 24th November

Jake Toeroek continued his good strike rate when he rode Olympic Academy to a win in the opening event of 2250 metres at Morphettville on Saturday.

Being under the care of indisposed trainer Grant Young Olympic Academy came with a late run from a rearward position to win.

Star apprentice Kayla Crowther kept her winning ways in order when she guided Yankee Eyes to her second win from seven starts in the 1250 metre second race.

Trained by Daniel Clarken and Oopy Macgillvray, Yankee Eyes led all the way.

Co-trainers Daniel Clarken and Oopy Macgillvray registered a milestone when Metro Tramp gave them the second leg of a back to back winning double in the 1000 metre third race.

Piloted to victory by apprentice Dylan Caboche Metro Tramp began well and maintained a forward position throughout the event.

Ascendance kept up the run of near front running horses to win when he took out the 1000 metre fourth race.

Being under the care of Dion Koch at Strathalbyn and piloted to victory by Jason holder Ascendance was one off the pace before getting to the lead late in the event.

Charossa resumed racing in fine style after a spell when he won the 1250 metre fifth race.

Trained on the course by Gordon Richards and piloted to victory by apprentice Anna Jordsjo, Charossa was well placed.

Coming out of the Mick Price satellite stable at Warrnambool Lord Sundowner tasted victory in the 1400 metre sixth race.

Piloted by Corey Parish and resuming from a spell Lord Sundowner was another well placed runner.

Apprentice Dylan Caboche landed his second winner for the afternoon when Pretiosa took out the 1400 metre seventh event.

Being under the care of veteran Morphettville trainer Ken Sweeney Pretiosa jumped well and raced in a forward position throughout.

Trainer Gordon Richards made it two win for the afternoon when his charge Ice Ghost won the 1550 metre final event.

Like Richards Jason Holder brought up a double when he brought Ice Ghost from a midfield position to bring up his second win from nine starts.
