Jamie Kah brought up her third winner in two days when Aagas won the 2100 metre opening event at Gawler on Saturday.

Being under the care of Morphettville trainer Ryan Balfour Aagas started well before drifting back into the field but had enough speed over the concluding stages to win.

Resuming from a spell the Tony McEvoy prepared Jason Holder ridden First Diamond led all the way to win the 1200 metre second race.

After running a solid fourth at Warrnambool the Sue Jaensch prepared Pretty Glass was a good winner of the 1200 metre third event.

Having the services of Emily Finnegan Pretty Glass started and settled well before going on to win.

Apprentice Anna Jordsjo showed her liking for the Gawler track having previously enjoyed success at the venue when she combined with trainer Travis Doudle and his charge Pamela Joy to score an all the way win the 1200 metre fourth race.

Apprentice Chris Caserta brought up his second winner in 24 hours when Over and Above took out the 1200 metre fifth race.

Being under the care of Phillip Stokes and coming off a last start third on the Parks circuit at Morphettville was well placed.

The former New Zealander Handsome Return brought up the second leg of a double for Jamie Kah in the 1700 metre sixth race.

Now the winner of two successive races the Will Clarken prepared Handsome Return was another runner to be well placed and is now likely to be headed for the final of the Alcopop Series along with his stable mate, the third placegetter El Desparado. This event will be run at Morphettville on Boxing Day.

Gawler trainer Darren Magro was well pleased with the win of the six year old mare Alaskan Jade in the 1100 metre seventh race.

Bringing up consecutive wins the Jason Holder ridden Alaskan Jade came from last with a withering run late in the race.

Co Gawler trainers Kerri McAnaulty and Clint Binnie finished the day off well for the locals when their charge Buried Treasure won the 1500 metre final event.

Bringing up consecutive wins Buried Treasure, who has now posted five wins from seven starts at Gawler, led throughout and was guided to victory by Todd Pannell.
