Victorem wins 2018 Tab Lough Neagh Stakes Listed $150,000 at Doomben, 1350m.

After being placed three times previously, the Port Macquarietrained gelding Victorem  recorded his first stakes success in decisive manner here, his sixth win from 11 starts to date.

He was a bit slow to move, was fifth early on, but soon improved from his good barrier (2) to be third on the rails. He got a split on straightening, took the lead at the 200m and then went on to win easily by almost four lengths.

I’m A Rippa again went to the front, held the lead until halfway down the straight and then held on for second just in front of Dreams Aplenty , who had been fourth to the home turn before fighting on well for third, narrowly in advance of fourth-placed No Annamossity .
