Morphettville Race Review -29th December

Jamie Kah rode her third winner in the space of twenty four hours when she guided Poet’s Landing top a win in the 1200 metre opening race at Morphettville on Saturday.

Bringing up his second win in start number two the Will Clarken prepared Poet’s Landing came from well back with a well timed one off the rails run.

The Ryan Balfour prepared Aagas made it two successive wins when he took out the 2035 metre second race.

Bringing up early double for Jamie Kah Aagas came from a midfield position with a strong run over the concluding 100 metres.

Trainer Gordon Richards continued his good run after scoring a double on Boxing Day when Sir Garfield took out the 1529 metre third race.

Well ridden by hoop Ryan Hurdle Sir Garfield went to the front at the half way mark and maintained that position.

Jamie Kah landed her third winner for the day when she rode Columbia to victory in the 1200 metre fourth race.

Bringing up a double for trainer Will Clarken Columbia was one of the first to begin before dropping back into the body of the field but was able to muster enough speed to go on to win.

Crown Fontein brought up successive wins when he proved too strong for his rivals in winning the 1100 metre sixth race.

Ridden confidently by apprentice Raquel Clark and trained at Murray Bridge by John Hickmott Crown Fontein led all the way.

Apprentice Raquel Clark brought up a race to race double when she rode Naseeb to its third win from eleven starts in the 1600 metre sixth race.

Coming out of the Naracoorte stable of Sue Murphy Naseeb came with a rails run to win.

Jockey Todd Pannell continued on his winning spiral when he rode Street Life to victory in the 1200 metre seventh race.

Coming off a last start second at Gawler the Karen Byrnes prepared Street Life powered home to win.

Jamie Kah finished the Morphettville meeting with a quartet of winners when Pretty Glass won the 1529 metre final event .

Coming out of the Naracoorte of Sue Jaensch and winning her fourth race from seven starts Pretty glass came with a late run from a midfield position.
