The Irish-bred import Le Juge , who had done his early racing in France, continues to race in good form since being switched to Chris Waller’s Gold Coast stable, now winning six of his last seven starts and recording his first stakes success here.

He settled back in 13th place on the rails, improved (between runners) at the home turn, got a split to challenge at the 200m, hit the front at the 100m and did best to score in a photo. It was also a good ride by Robbie Fradd.

The New Zealand-trained mare Igraine was handily placed on the rails in fourth spot, got a split on turning for home, challenged at the 100m and kept battling well for a close second in a nice effort at her fourth run this preparation.

Haripour , a stablemate of the winner, raced in sixth place, moved up coming to the home turn, challenged at the 200m and kept battling well for a close-up third. Tangled , another Chris Waller-trained runner, settled just behind the leaders and kept battling on in the straight to retain that place, beaten a length into fourth.
