She Shao Fly wins Rotorua Cup Group 03 $150,000 at Morphettville, 1400m.

A Listed fourth and Group 3 third at her previous two starts indicated She Shao Fly was not far away from a black-type win and so it proved, running clear from the 250m and holding on quite well for her second victory in six starts.

She was one of three co-leaders early and held her position from the 1000m to sit just outside the lead down the side and near the home straight. She levelled up then took over at the 250m, led by more than a length at the 150m then held on by the same margin.

This was a solid effort from Hinchpin ,who found himself last at the 600m, still last at the top of the straight then threaded between runners and finished strongly late for second.

Barcali sat third (rails) at the 500m, moved up from the 250m into second but was passed late, having to settle for third from Floreat Pica ,who was back and widest turning in then ran on too late for fourth.
