The Anthony Cummings-trained and Gerry Harvey-raced filly Libertini could not have been any more impressive in winning here, her first stakes success and her second win in three starts. She began well and settled outside the leader (Single Blonde), easily went to the front nearing the 200m and was then given an easy time by Tommy Berry in winning clearly by two lengths. She looks a very classy filly. Kris Leestrained filly Regimental Band staged a promising effort. She settled back in eighth place, put in a good run on turning for home and finished nicely for second, her second such placing in two starts. Akari raced in fifth place, went to third at the 200m and then battled on nicely to hold that position, now having two starts for two placings. Just Field raced in third place but was caught deep and did well in holding on for (4.9 lengths) fourth. The Bjorn Baker-trained Egyptian Missile made ground from near last for (5.4 lengths) fifth on debut while Single Blonde tired for (5.7 lengths) sixth after running a bold race in the lead.
