The progressive Daniel Bowman-trained gelding Begood Toya Mother ,who advanced through lower grades last preparation winning all five starts, resumed to score a smart win here, his first at stakes level.

He was smartly away and soon crossed to the lead. He was challenged halfway down the straight but then lifted gamely to score well. Haunted had a nice trip in third place on the rails from his inside barrier (1).

He then got through on the inner at the 200m to challenge and then battled on well to hold second after appearing to have had every chance.

Fundamentalist began well, raced outside the leader and eventual winner and held on well for third in a sound first-up run.

Behemoth was sixth early on but was shuffled back to last in the nine-horse field coming to the home turn. He then kept making ground in the straight for (3.7 lengths) fourth.
