In an action packed start to the first race where there were two late scratchings.

Trainer Jim Smith could have a nice horse on his hands after Military Road opened his winning account at his first start when he won the opening race of 1100 metres at Morphettville on Saturday.

Having the services of Ryan Hurdle Military Road came from a midfield position with a strong run over the concluding stages.

Coming off a last start third Bayou gave the father and daughter team of Richard and Chantelle Jolly victory in the 1100 metre second race.

Guided to victory by Jake Toeroek Bayou came from fourth with a late rush to bring up win number four from eighteen starts.

The darling of Morphettville Shop Til I Drop completed a quartet of wins when she won the 2014 metre third race.

Coming out of the Angaston stable of Calvin and Tony McEvoy and piloted by Barend Vorster Shop Til I Drop burst through the field from a rearward position to win.

Coming off a freshen up after racing in Darwin, Street Life was well placed in giving trainer Karen Brynes and hoop Raquel Clark a win in the 1200 metre fourth race.

Having his second start after a spell Single handed entered black type company when he took out the 1800 metre listed Tokyo city Cup.

Coming out of the Bendigo stable of Nick Smart and having the services of Paul Gatt, Single Handed was well placed.

Apprentice Anna Jordsjo landed her second Morphettville winner in seven days when she guided Zarace to a win in the 1100 metre sixth race.

Coming off a last start third the Ken Sweeney prepared Zarace was well placed throughout. 

The blue army of Godolphin kept on its winning march when Soothing took out the listed 1100 metre W H Wylie Handicap.

Being under the care of James Cummings, and having the services of Raquel Clark, Soothing came from well back and powered home to win.

Dexter You Devil continued his good form when he took out the 1600 metre final event.

Trained and ridden by Shayne Cahill Dexter you Devil came from well back score his second win from three starts this time in.
