Thought Of That wins Ladbrokes Classic Group 3, $350,000 at Caulfield, 2000m.

The Ciaron Maher and David Eustace-trained colt Thought Of That followed his easy win in a maiden handicap (1620) at Donald on October 8 with a most impressive victory, advancing significantly in class here. Racing in blinkers for the first time, he again went to the front. He then set quite a good tempo, dashed clear on turning for home and then drew away to score by a big margin, looking on track for the Victoria Derby (Gr 1, 2500m).

Warning  settled nicely in second last place in the nine-horse field, improved (deep) from the 700m and kept making ground to take second, albeit with looking likely to trouble the winner.

Brilliant Venture raced in second place until halfway down the straight and then held on quite well to take the minor placing.

The favourite Miami Bound raced in seventh place, one off the rails, moved up nearing the home turn and then fought on in the straight for (6 lengths) fourth.

Streets Of Avalon scored a smart win here, his seventh win (15 placings) from 38 starts and his third at stakes level. He began well and settled outside the leader (Desert Lord) before moving up nicely nearing the home turn. He got the upper hand and went to the front at the 200m and then fought off challengers to win well. Variation settled in eighth place, improved (wide) on turning for home. He put in his bid at the 100m and then fought well for second. The Godolphin-raced Royal Meeting, a winner of his only two prior starts, which included a Group 1 victory at Chantilly last year, ran a bold race resuming at his first Australian start. He had a good trip in fourth place, was under riding on straightening and then fought on for a close-up third. Manolo Blahniq was sixth on the rails, got through on the inner on turning for home and then battled on nicely for (2.5 lengths) fourth.
