Red Can Man wins Ballpoint Constr-Fairetha Stks, Listed, $100,000 at Ascot, 1400m.

Honest Red Can Man , making his first start at stakes level, refused to give in when challenged in the straight and was resolute in gaining his third win on start seven. He was first away to lead briefly but soon after dropped back into clear running in third (rails).

Approaching the final bend he moved out to challenge and was second into the straight, co-led at the 150m and to the line kept finding, stretching his neck for a tough long head win.

Jericho Missile sat sixth, one out, at the 800m, improved quickly near the straight to be handy, four wide and looked to pounce. He caught the new leader at the 150m but had a real fight on his hands and had to settle for second.

Dig Deep last at the 600m, was still last at the top of the straight then pulled widest and flew home for third from War Saint who took over the lead from the 400m to the 150m then battled away for fourth.
