Returning to racing after a five month lay-off The Pugilist opened his winning account at start number six when he took out the 1400 metre second race.

Prepared at the Angaston stable of Tony and Calvin McEvoy and having the services of Todd Pannell, The Pugilist was always well placed.

Coming off a last start fifth before a spell The Natural took out the 1250 metre third race.

Brining up a training double for the McEvoy team of Tony and Calvin, The Natural led all the way to continue the good run of jockey Barend Vorster.

Trained on the track by Chris Bieg, Wanted by All came from a midfield position with a strong run over the concluding stages.
