Electric Light wins Crown-Jungle Mist Classic, Listed, $100,000 at Ascot, 1200m.

Formerly Group and Listed placed, Electric Light stormed home for her ninth win and maiden stakes victory at start 20. She drifted soon after the start to settle fifth last (three out), improved (still wide) from the 600m, pulling even wider into the straight.

Once balanced she powered home, picked them off one by one and stormed into the lead at the 50m and won going away by a length.

Beautiful Mind was a handy fifth down the side, pulled wide to challenge from the top of the straight and strode up to co-lead but had to watch the winner flash past.

Dance Music hugged the fence in third turning in, dove through to lead at the 200m but could not match the finishes of the first two, while Bel My Pago finished strongly from last when the race was over.
