Inglis Just Now Qlty, Listed : Doomben - 7th December 2019

3 minute read

Frangipani Moon wins Inglis Just Now Qlty, Listed, $125,000 at Doomben, 1350m.

The David Vandyke-trained mare Frangipani Moon, who has been racing consistently in weaker classes, stepped up to record her first stakes victory here.

She settled back in seventh place on the rails, tracking a good tempo.

She improved along the rails rounding the home turn, continued along the inner to hit the front on passing the 100m and then went on to win well.

Shalwa showed very good early pace and soon crossed to the front. She then set a good pace, still held an advantage halfway down the straight and was only overhauled nearing the post for second after running a bold race.

Newstone Rock raced near the tail of the field, on the rails, switched deeper and into clear running shortly after straightening and then came with a strong late run to take third.

Jadentom was handily placed in fourth spot, moved up at the home turn, went to second at the 200m and then fought on to finish fourth.
