Alligator Blood enhanced his prospects for the Magic Millions 3YO Guineas (RL, 1400m) at the Gold Coast on January 11 with an impressive win to remain unbeaten in two starts this preparation. He was smartly away and then travelled well in third place before moving up to take the lead on straightening. He then drew away to score comfortably, his seventh win from eight starts in a classy performance. Profit, a winner of three of his four prior starts, staged a very nice effort, resuming here, to take second after having a good trip in fourth place on the rails to the home turn. Eleven Eleven who raced in fifth place, tracking the eventual winner, challenged at the 200m and then battled on quite well for third. Diamond Thunder settled nicely in seventh place on the rails, improved between runners on turning for home and then ran on, without threatening, for (3.1 lengths) fourth, finishing just in front of Let It Pour, who made ground from eighth at the turn for (3.3 lengths) fifth.
