In All His Glory might be stepping up to the mile for the first time, but trainer Cliff Brown remained hopeful of a forward run from his charge.

The four-year-old son of All Too Hard will form one-third of the Australian handler's three-pronged attack in the $50,000 Class 4 race over 1600m on Saturday. He also has Centenary Diamond and Magnificent Gold in the same race, thrice and twice a winner over the mile respectively.

The Tarnpirr Stable-owned In All His Glory opened his account with an easy win in a Restricted Maiden race over 1400m under race-rider Vlad Duric six weeks ago. He then backed it up with another strong on-pace win in a Class 4 race over the same trip at his last start, which led Brown to believe that he could handle the extra furlong.

"Yes, he has given every indication that he could run up to the mile," said Brown currently sitting fourth on the premiership on 26 winners.

"From barrier No 6, he will go forward, either try to lead or run in second behind the leader.

"He worked well, is nice and fit, and has Duric on him again. You never know until they run."

Brown is a little more conservative about his two other runners' chances in this field of 12 made up of other last-start winners like Ironchamp and Shepherd's Hymn.

"No, not confident. Centenary Diamond has won three times over the mile, but everyone has a bit of a chance in this race," said Brown.

"He carries a bit of weight (58.5kg) now, but he's good and I have (Ruan) Maia. He has a good rider on him, so he should be well.

"Magnificent Gold was unlucky lately. He is first-up (after seven weeks), is nice and bright, and he worked well too. I cannot fault him."

Owned by the Gold Stable, the seven-year-old son of High Chaparral will again run into Meryl, who beat him into fourth place at his last start in August. He will be partnered for the first time by Juan Paul van der Merwe and will jump from barrier 8.

Centenary Diamond will break from gate No 4. The five-year-old bay gelding finished fifth at his last start and won one of two subsequent trials.

The son of Kitten's Joy has also been nominated by Brown for the third leg of the Singapore Triple Crown series, the prestigious Group 1 Singapore Gold Cup (2000m) held on November 21, alongside four other runners of his (Gold Strike, Trumpy, Threeandfourpence and Elite Incredible).

A total of 40 nominees were revealed in the first-round of entries for the Gold Cup, with the Mark Walker-trained Countofmontecristo topping the list on 115 points. Centenary Diamond is the lowest-rated among his four stablemates at 66 points and is placed 33rd on the list.

His odds of securing a place in the 16-runners field are low, but the world of racing can be full of surprises at times.

"I think he can get the trip. Well, you never know right?" said Brown, who claimed the coveted race once, then sponsored by Dester, with the late Gilt Complex in 2017.

Gold Strike and Trumpy ran on to finish in seventh and eighth in the Group 1 Raffles Cup over 1600m last Saturday, which is the first leg of the series. The Group 1 Queen Elizabeth II Cup (1800m), which is the second leg, will be held on October 31.
