Morphettville Parks Races Review on 4th September 2021

Since returning to Adelaide to continue his apprenticeship Gary Lo maintained his good winning rate when he guided Huffington to victory in the 1000 metre opening event on the Parks track at Morphettville on Saturday.

Bringing up his fifth win form eleven starts the Phillip Stokes prepared Huffington was well placed. 

Trainer Phillip stokes landed the second leg of an early double when Hanabi won the 1000 metre second race.

Well handled by Kayla Crowther Hanabi came from a midfield position with a strong run over the concluding stages.

Murray Bridge trainer Mick Huxtable was quiet pleased with the win of Perfect Route  in the 1550 metre third race.

Ridden by Jessica Eaton to bring up her first win for the season and a welcome change of luck Perfect Route was one off the pace for most of the journey.

After starting his racing career in a blaze of glory when he won his first race Crown Mint returned to the winners list when he took out the 1400 metre fourth race.

Being under the care of Gordon Richards and Damian Moyle and bringing up the third city winner for apprentice Ben Price, Crown Mint came from a rearward position with a strong run over the concluding stages to win.

The five-year-old gelding Melody Man brought up his second win in succession when he took out the 1950 metre fifth race.

Being under the care of Jake Stephens the Todd Pannell ridden Melody Man came from a worse than midfield position to power home and win.

Ecumenical returned to racing in fine style when she won the 1300 metre sixth race.

Giving her rider Jessica Eaton and trainer Mick Huxtable their second winner for the day Ecumenical came from a worse than midfield position with a wide run over the concluding stages.

Apache Star landed his second win in a row when he took out the 1550 metre seventh race.

Bringing up a double for Kayla Crowther and trainer Phillip Stokes Apache Star led all the way.

Coming off a last start fifth Aston Rapova brought up his second win from eleven starts in the 1000 metre eighth race.

Prepared at Strathalbyn by Wayne Francis and Glen Kent and with the services of Barend Vorster Aston Rapova came from a midfield position and finished the race off in fine style.

Jockey Todd Pannell landed his second winner for the day when he rode Enchantingly to a win in the 1250 metre final event.

Being under the care of Scott Westover, Enchantingly brought up her second successive victory when she led all the way and won convincingly.
