Jockey Dom Tourneur was the first out of the blocks when he guided Star Expresso to a win in the opening event of 1100 metres at Gawler on Saturday.

Prepared by Chris Beig Star Expresso broke away from her opposition late in the event.

After a lengthy protest which saw Run and Tell keep the race apprentice Angus Chung continued his winning way in the 1500 metre second race.

Bringing up consecutive wins the Jon O'Connor trained Run and Tell led all the way.

Now working for Tony and Calvin McEvoy apprentice Madison Lloyd was welcomed to SA racing with a win when she guided Got the Style in the 1200 metre third race.

A four-year-old mare Got the Style settled well before going on to record a stylish victory.

Tony and Calvin McEvoy landed the second leg of a race-to-race double when Fighter took out the 2100 metre fourth race.

Having the services of Barend Vorster, Fighter came from well back with a strong run over the concluding stages.

The Jake Toeroek guided Dominus, who was having his first run after a spell, was too strong for his rivals in the 1200 metre fifth race.

Prepared by Philip Stokes Dominus was well placed in bringing up win number five at his twentieth start.

Apprentice Teagan Voorham kept her good strike rate going when she guided Midnight Storm to a win in the 1100 metre sixth race.

Coming out of the Macdonald/Gluyas stable Midnight Storm came from a better than midfield position and finished the race off strongly.

Resuming after a spell Tanja's Dream was too strong for her opposition when she took out the 1100 metre seventh race.

Having the services of apprentice Ben Price the Travis Doudle prepared Tanja's Dream led all the way.

Jake Toeroek landed his second winner for the afternoon when he guided Lady Simone to victory in the 1200 metre eighth race.

Prepared by Richard and Chantelle Jolly Lady Simone, second up after a spell, was well placed.

Showing a liking for the Gawler surface Getouttheway was successful in winning the final event of 1500 metres.

Guided to victory by Ryan Hurdle the Sue Nolan prepared Getouttheway came from last with a strong run over the concluding stages.
