The 2010 Doncaster Mile winner will resume in the Group 2 Expressway Stakes (1200m) on Saturday week after a pair of quiet barrier trials last month.

It will be Rangirangdoo's first race start since winning the Group 1 George Ryder Stakes (1500m) at Rosehill last April before succumbing to a leg injury.

The Group 2 Expressway Stakes is poised to boast a star studded line up with likely entrants including fellow Group winners Shoot Out, Danleigh, Manawanui and boom sprinter Rain Affair.

In form jockey Blake Shinn has been booked to ride Rangirangdoo as the ever reliable dual Group 1 winner makes his long awaited comeback.

Shinn chalked up a winning double at Canterbury last weekend aboard promising three-year-old Fontelina and the John O'Shea-trained Tigress Lily. In addition he also recorded placings aboard World Wide and Mickelberg in their respective events.

The hoop has ridden 12 winners since returning to the saddle in late December and possesses a healthy rate of 12%.

As well as Rangirangdoo, Shinn earlier this week was confirmed as the rider of current Blue Diamond Stakes favourite Jimando who resumes at Caulfield on Saturday in the Listed Emirates Airline Stakes (1100m).

Trainer Tony McEvoy at this stage is hopeful Shinn will partner the Commands juvenile throughout his upcoming campaign which is expected to culminate with the Group 1 Golden Slipper (1200m) in April.

Jimando currently sits 10th in the Order Of Entry for the lucrative two-year-old feature at Rosehill on April 7 which is headed by Gai Waterhouse-trained filly Driefontein.
