Fremantle midfielder Andrew Brayshaw has fully recovered from a broken jaw and is tearing up the training track.

Andrew Brayshaw's recovery from last year's broken jaw continues to gain pace, with the Fremantle midfielder finishing second in the club's time trial on Monday.

Brayshaw was forced to eat liquid foods for the best part of a month after having his jaw broken by West Coast's Andrew Gaff in round 20 last year.

The 18-year-old still has five teeth that might not survive long-term.

But apart from that it's been a full recovery for Brayshaw, who finished second in the 2km time trial when Fremantle resumed pre-season training on Monday.

Stefan Giro confirmed his status as the club's time trial king by making it a perfect three-from-three wins in the race this summer, setting a personal best time in the process.

Troubled midfielder Harley Bennell hit the headlines just after Christmas when it was revealed he was forced to leave a Cottesloe's Ocean Beach Hotel for being too drunk.

Bennell is on thin ice at the Dockers following a string of off-field misdemeanours, but the club has confirmed they won't punish the 26-year-old for the latest incident given how minor it was.

The former Gold Coast midfielder has played just two games over three seasons at the Dockers, with 2019 shaping as a make-or-break campaign.

Fremantle's first pre-season campaign is against Collingwood at HBF Arena in Joondalup on March 4.
