Carlton have regained star forward Tayla Harris for their must-win clash against GWS, while high-profile Collingwood recruit Sharni Layton has been dropped ahead of round three of the AFLW season.

Harris was a late withdrawal from last week's tight loss to Adelaide with shoulder soreness, but has been included with Brooke Walker, who will make her debut.

The Giants lost Nicola Barr to suspension and added Renee Tomkins, Tait Mackrill, Maddy Collier and Jodie Hicks.

Saturday's game at Blacktown Oval is vital for both teams, who are winless after two rounds.

The Pies, who have started a season 0-2 for the third time, dropped former netball star Layton, with former Brisbane player Nicole Hildebrand coming into the side in one of four changes for the clash against Fremantle.

The unbeaten Dockers have named draftee Brianna Moyes, who will debut in the Fremantle Oval encounter.

North Melbourne will host the Western Bulldogs in the match-of-the-round between the unbeaten sides at University of Tasmania Stadium in Launceston.

Chloe Haines and Courteney Munn will debut for the Roos and premiership player Hayley Wildes is in for the Dogs.

Adelaide and Geelong have both regained captains for their clash at Norwood Oval on Sunday, with Chelsea Randall back from a hamstring strain for the Crows and Mel Hickey in for the Cats after recovering from a knee reconstruction.

Experienced Geelong midfielder Rocky Cranston is also in for her first game of the season, with star ruck Aasta O'Connor out with knee soreness.

Brisbane host Melbourne at Hickey Park in Sunday's late game, with the Demons adding Brooke Patterson and Shelley Heath to an extended squad.
