Melbourne star Daisy Pearce has made her contribution to potential Demons AFL and AFLW recruiting with the safe arrival of twins.

Pearce and her partner Ben O'Neil have announced that Sylvie and Roy were born last Friday.

The AFLW's highest-profile player pulled out of the third season because of her pregnancy.

But she was still involved in TV commentary for the Geelong-Collingwood season opener.

Pearce is the most prominent AFLW player to put her football career on hold because of child birth.

In an Instagram post, Pearce said she and O'Neil were introducing their babies with "exploding hearts".

Sylvie was first to arrive and Roy is slightly bigger.

"Both are wonderful and being smothered in love and smooches," Pearce said.

Think. Is this a bet you really want to place?
