Hawthorn youngster James Cousins looks set to miss the Hawks' AFL clash with Melbourne after copping a one-game striking suspension.

Cousins is the only player facing suspension from round six after being sanctioned for striking Carlton opponent Sam Petrevski-Seton during Sunday's game in Launceston.

The 21-year-old was reported for the fourth-quarter incident in which he caught Petrevski-Seton high with a late elbow.

Hawthorn host Melbourne on Saturday at the MCG, where the Demons will be desperate to improve their 1-5 start to the season.

Adelaide's Alex Keath, West Coast's Tom Cole and Western Bulldogs midfielder Tom Liberatore have all been offered fines.

Match review officer Michael Christian also assessed incidents involving Sydney's Aliir Aliir and Brisbane star Lachie Neale but found neither had a case to answer.

The tribunal will sit on Tuesday night after Richmond opted to challenge a misconduct fine handed to injured forward Jack Riewoldt.

Riewoldt was offered a $1000 fine for pinning Melbourne opponent Bayley Fristch in a "chicken-wing" tackle during the Anzac Eve game at the MCG.

The Tigers spearhead will miss six to eight weeks after suffering a high-grade PCL injury in his right knee.
