WHAT HAPPENED IN ROUND 15 OF THE AFL SEASON

THEY SAID IT: "We're bloody embarrassed with the way we played. That was as bad as it gets." Collingwood coach Nathan Buckley after his team kicked their lowest score since round five, 1995 - 5.7 (37) - under the Marvel Stadium roof in a horror loss to North Melbourne.

STATS THAT MATTER: Adelaide are on a 16-year losing streak at GMHBA Stadium after Geelong finished over the top of them on Friday night. The Crows have lost 11 games since their last win at the venue in round 10, 2003.

MAN OF THE ROUND: Luke Shuey dragged West Coast across the line in their six-point thriller over Hawthorn at the MCG. The Norm Smith medallist finished with 39 possessions, 15 of them with six clearances in the frantic last quarter, in a best afield performance.

KEY MOMENT: Essendon's Cale Hooker saved the game and possibly John Worsfold's job when he kicked the winning goal to stun GWS with 19 seconds left at Marvel Stadium on Thursday night. With Tom Bellchambers out with a calf injury, Hooker was thrown forward from defence as part of the reshuffle and booted two goals.

TALKING POINT: The AFL was forced to defend its much-maligned score review system yet again after a blunder that may have robbed GWS of a win over Essendon. Adam Kennedy looked to have got a finger on a crucial Shaun McKernan shot on goal, but AFL footy boss Steve Hocking saw it differently when he supported the decision the next day.

TRIBUNAL WATCH: Suns skipper Jarrod Witts could be scrutinised for crunching Nick Blakey's head and ribs in a marking contest. Several Swans remonstrated with the big ruckman after the hit. Young Lion Oscar McInerney was concussed in a collision with Melbourne's Christian Salem that appeared to be an accident but will be looked at.

KEY INJURIES: Patrick Ambrose (Ess, quad - late withdrawal), Tom Bellchambers (Ess, calf), Taylor Walker (Adel, elbow), Patrick Dangerfield (Geel, hip), Mark Hutchings (WC, hamstring), Ben Reid (Coll, calf), Braydon Sier (Coll, concussion), Kyron Hayden (NM, Achilles), Caleb Daniel (WB, hamstring), Callum Sinclair (Syd, dislocated shoulder), Oscar McInerney (Bris, concussion), Charlie Curnow (Carl, knee).

WHAT'S NEXT: Hawthorn kick round 16 off against Collingwood at the MCG on Friday night, with Adelaide renewing their heated rivalry with Port Adelaide on Saturday. North Melbourne will look to continue their upswing under Rhyce Shaw when they host St Kilda in Hobart on Sunday.
