Adelaide are considering giving a club debut to former Richmond forward Tyson Stengle in their AFL clash with Gold Coast.

Adelaide recruit Tyson Stengle is firming to make his AFL debut for the club.

Stengle is among a 28-strong squad of Crows players who on Wednesday flew to the Gold Coast before Saturday's clash with the Suns.

The 20-year-old Stengle crossed to Adelaide at the end of last season after playing two games for Richmond in 2017.

The lively forward's form in state league ranks has impressed Crows assistant coach Scott Camporeale.

"He's in really good form and he deserves an opportunity," Camporeale told reporters on Wednesday at Adelaide Airport.

"Whether it's this week, we will make that decision later in the week.

"He is getting up the ground, putting pressure on and he's averaging at least five or six shots on goal; and we have exposed him a little bit through the midfield as well.

"He's gaining more capacity and a lot of trust with the players and the match committee."

Stengle's potential Crows debut comes amid queries over the form of fellow small forward Eddie Betts, who has been goalless in his past two games.

But Stengle looms a more likely replacement for another small forward, Jordan Gallucci, who was concussed last weekend.

Gallucci's fitness will be assessed later this week, as will that of defenders Daniel Talia (ankle) and Alex Keath (knee) who were also hurt in the heavy loss to Port Adelaide.

The trio have made the trip to the Gold Coast but Adelaide have taken veteran Andy Otten as cover for the injured backmen.
