If Gold Coast opt to re-draft wantaway utility Jack Martin, he'll be welcomed back with open arms by Suns teammate Jack Bowes.

Gold Coast midfielder Jack Bowes will welcome Jack Martin back to the AFL club if that's what the Suns decide.

Martin's future is up in air after Carlton's bid to trade the utility fell through last month.

The 24-year-old has since delisted himself with the Suns as he tries to secure his move to the Blues through the pre-season draft on November 28.

Martin's reported demands include $2 million across the first two seasons of a five-year contract.

It's understood those high demands are set to prevent the Suns or Melbourne picking Martin before Carlton can make their first choice in the draft.

Should the Suns make a surprise bid for the wantaway Martin, Bowes says there'll be no bad blood with him and his teammates.

"That's obviously out of my control but I've got all the respect in the world for Jacky Martin," Bowes said.

"I love him as a bloke and as a player too. I get along with him really well.

"I'll support whatever decision the club makes about his future."

Bowes also doesn't see any drama in having a player at the club who has so publicly proclaimed his desire not to be there.

The 21-year-old is confident Martin would play at his best if he is picked by the Suns.

"Yeah if that was the case, absolutely I'd back Jack in 100 per cent," he said.

Martin has played 97 games for the Suns since debuting in 2014, with the West Australian product one of two picks in the 2012 mini-draft.

Think. Is this a bet you really want to place?
